"This company was recommended on a local Facebook users group so I dropped Darren a message and got a prompt reply to arrange a visit. He came round and had a look, advising what could be done and realistically expected from a floor which was 125 years old, and had been sanded a couple of times over the years, then carpeted. Toilet was especially challenging as had carpet on lino on top of cement which had been tiled in the past! Quote was good so arranged a date, Darren sending a calendar appointment to mark the date on my iphone which is really handy. As it was he managed to do it earlier due to a previous cancellation, and as I was away he emptied the cupboards etc., for me and stowed the stuff away. He worked into the weekend while I was away, and I came back to a lovely sanded and satin varnished (I prefer that as you can see the wood better) hall and WC. Some repairs and board replacements were needed due to splits, etc., where plumbers or electricians had been, but were included in the price, and I’m really pleased with it, it now looks like a proper Victorian tenement wooden floor. I got a quote for my bedroom, so he’ll be back sometime in December for that. What I also appreciated was being kept up to speed with what was happening by text or Facebook message, as that allowed me to plan round the drying of the three coats of varnish. I’d certainly recommend Darren for wooden floor restoration/repair/sanding, etc."
